Chiang Mai Airport is the main airport in Northern Thailand. In departures facilities are decent. But one you check in everything is a hassle. Poor facilities, big queues, lifting heavy cases into scanners, primitive lounge.

Absolutely horrible airport, if you are flying international you can't buy any water or food, the check-in is extremely slow. All in all the worst airport I have ever been in.
