Saihate No Paladin AKA The Faraway Paladin, is the story of a man from Japan who was reborn into a strange new world. He opened his eyes to see three people. No matter how he looked at them, he could not see them as human. He soon learned the reason why. Those three were undead. He was named Will, and the undead took it upon themselves to raise the child into a well-rounded adult.
First, we have Mary. She took on the role of a nurturing mother for Will. She is a former priestess who was mummified. Then we have Augustus. He is a full-fledged ghost. He took on the role of the wise Granpa/Mentor. Last but least, there is Blood. He is a Skeleton. A former warrior who took on the role of a father figure of Will. They all teach him the areas they specialize in.
Blood took on the role of his Combat Instructor. Agustus took on the role of his teacher, teaching him about the world and magic. Mary taught him about the importance of religion, about all the different gods, and the roles they play in everyone’s life. He believed that it was just the 4 of them in the world. However, that was furthest from the truth.

Will now goes by the name Will G Maryblood and is a Priest of Gracefeel. He has a team of heroes and travels around the world helping people. On his travels, he came across Dinelind, an Elf. From him, he learns about the Dragon terrorizing the lands. He has decided to help them. For starters, he went with Dinelind to the Lothdor, The Country of Flowers.
Its citizens were wary of outsiders, but after Will healed all the sick in their village, they warmed up to him. With his help, the elves were able to restore the lord of the forest and now approach the Black Iron Mountains. However, it’s known as the Rust Mountains now. An area that used to be rich with work is now an area infested by demons and the Dragon.
Will has Vindalfr open the doors. They are instantly hit with despair due to the presence of the Dragon. Will cast a spell to remove it. They make their way in and come across the Demon Admiral Scarabaeus and his legion. A fierce fight follows where Vindalfr defeats Scarabaeus and reclaims the throne and the crown. However, Scarabaeus somehow survived even without his head.
He runs to the dragon with Will and his team in pursuit. It took a while, but they found him. He seems to be communicating, but no one is on the other side. Then a massive dragon emerges from the darkness and stomps Scarabaeus killing him instantly. Everyone is frozen in fear just by seeing the size of this beast. The dragon will them to his nest menacingly.
