Great choice with both fast food, bistros, and some real restaurants all around you and Gare Nord with all the connections across the street. Whimsical rooms and common areas. Borrow a bike or umbrella!Standard multi choice breakfast buffet. Food not special. Lots of common area table space. KBYG that our room was more whimsical than functional. A small chair (not very useful), little counter space and no desk. The comfy bed filled a lot of space. Next visit here I’ll book a larger room/ small suite.

I’m a “Disloyalty” member and part of the deal is to get a free coffee each day (even if you aren’t staying in a hotel) but not here although I showed my disloyalty card which stated “free coffee” and I just got blank looks and a reply in mumbled French which I couldn’t understand and to make things even worse there were no coffee capsules to use in the in room (slightly broken) coffee machine and I didn’t have any for any of the 3 nights I was there; there was a sachet of ground coffee to make filtered coffee but the paper filter had been used by the previous guest so I wasn’t going to use that; no milk either; they give you complimentary beer (2 bottles) we don’t drink beer but no problem as they also give a can of co*ke but that wasn’t in the fridge either; a bag of crisps which wasn’t replaced after the 1st night; the room was quite dirty (see photos) including dust and a beer bottle top on the floor. As I’m writing this I’m on my way to Amsterdam to stay at the Lloyd Hoxton, doesn’t matter how good or bad it is I’ll be canceling my disloyalty card as soon as I’m home and stay elsewhere in future.

Other reviewers have described the hotel as quirky and it certainly is. It is brilliantly situated across the road from the Gare du Nord and with lots of bus routes around. Our room was comfortable and very quiet and had all we needed including a free mini-bar (no tea / coffee). Food in the restaurant was good (although more expensive compared to other places in the immediate area), breakfast was fresh and typically French (as it should be of course). The staff were helpful etc etc. We had an accessible room and it was that. Patience is required when using the lifts but that was no big problem. Our only complaint would be that whilst the lighting in our room was both moody and comforting (and not harsh), we had to use the torches on our phone to find some things we had put in cupboards and to ensure we had not left anything when we left.

The hotel is really good. We spent our 2-day city break in it. The hotel has a good location, near the train station. The room was clean and well maintained. We really liked the custom decor. The breakfasts are also very tasty - especially the fantastic croissants! Greetings to all the hotel staff - you were really helpful.P.S. The immediate area is quite safe, but do not go further east.

A very cool place without an attitude. Everyone was so kind and the room was comfy and spacious. They were accommodating with our early check in. It is centrally located around great restaurants and Gare du nord, which was a great launch pad for our excursions.
